The view at the top of the NEXT hill was well worth the burn in my calves.
What goes up must go down!
In the words of Wilson Phillips (now I'm giving away my age) "I know there's pain...Hold on for one more day"
Can you see the rainbow?
The first sighting of Finisterre lighthouse
The back side of Finisterre lighthouse.
Greenpeace Arriving at Finisterre today was an amazing sense of achievement and finality. And whilst I did my best to hike down to the absolute end of the earth with the thorn scars to prove it, once there, I decided to rather do the ritual of throwing my walking shoes into the ocean in my head and instead donate them to a charity in town. I, after all, am rather fond of pristine nature and didn't want to incur the wrath of Greenpeace!
But did walk the 3 kms back into town in these just to prove a point:
Cheers!
I'm now off to Scotland to visit my brother, sister-in-law and nephew and who knows might even do the Easy Highland Way while I'm there....That is IF I can find new shoes!
